2nd WORKSHOP ON SOFTWARE VISUALIZATION, EVOLUTION AND MAINTENANCE (VEM)

The growing need to maintain software systems is one of the main challenges of modern software engineering. The interest in maintenance and evolution of software has intensified even more in recent years, under the pressure of a dwindling between development and release of new versions of software on the market long.

Before performing any maintenance or evolution, however, is fundamental to understanding the software to be modified. Visualization Software is a subarea of the areas of Information Visualization and Software Engineering, which makes use of visuals to try to facilitate understanding software, either through the analysis of a single version of the system or its entire version history.

The VEM is the workshop that aims to integrate the communities in the areas of Visualization, Software Maintenance and Evolution. This is the second year of VEM, but it is being built from the junction of two other workshops, namely:

  • Workshop de Manutenção de Software Moderna (WMSWM)
  • Workshop Brasileiro de Visualização de Software (WBVS)
